Valentine's Day Is Coming...

And what better way is there to show your Valentine how much you love them than by giving them some Chi conversation hearts:

We think they're just perfect!!!

The Chihuahua Anthem

(Sung to the tune of Neil Diamond's "America")
Far
Chihuahuas traveling far
Without a home
But not without a star

Free
We all want to be free
We huddle close
Hang on to our dream

From the shelters and the streets
We’re coming to America
Never looking back again
We’re coming to America

Home, it don’t seem so far away
Oh, we're traveling light today
In small packs of Chis
In small packs of Chis

Home, to a new and a shiny place
We’ll get a bed, and we'll say our thanks (“Woof!”)
With kibble already warmed
With kibble already warmed

Everywhere around the world
We’re coming to America
Every time that flag's unfurled
We’re coming to America

Got a dream to take us there
We’re coming to America
Got a dream we’ve come to share (TREATS)
We’re coming to America

We’re coming to America
We’re coming to America
We’re coming to America
We’re coming to America
Today, today, today, today, today

Our country 'tis of thee
Today
Sweet land of liberty
Today
Of thee we sing
Today
Of thee we sing
Today

Daisy Finds a New Toy... Sort Of

"So, if I push on this flashing light thingy, will a treat come out of it or something?"

Why Me?

I know I have a very agreeable personality, and sometimes I do have a hard time standing up for myself. But my brother and sister don't need to take advantage of me, for crying out loud. Here's a perfect example of what I am talking about:
Yes, believe it or not, I am UNDERNEATH my brother Diego. As in, I was deeply sleeping and he just came over and parked himself right on top of me. Oh no, Diego, never mind the fact you are HALF my body weight. Somehow, I will manage to breathe.

Finally, I manage to sneak my head up just enough for me to take in oxygen and expel carbon dioxide. I hate being such a doormat sometimes.

The Black Wonder... On Duty

On the prowl, looking out for any foreseeable danger. It's all a part of my superpuppy duties that I readily accept.

Oh no! What's that over there? The Black Wonder to the rescue!

"Ma'am, as I told you already, the doggie bed is community property. No other Chi can technically steal that from you."
I could do a bit more investigating on the matter, but I need to take a break... even the Black Wonder has limits!

The Law of Nylabone

The Law of Nylabone states to always have a backup handy in case another Chi comes and takes the one you've got.

Daisy... Secret NBA Superstar?

Jumping is so much fun for me. Maybe it's my diminutive size, or my stealthy, cheetah-like speed that makes me the perfect jumper. But let me tell you, I can get some major air beneath me. Just look at this picture... my VIH can't even keep up with me, I jump so high. A year's supply of treats says I could put Kobe Bryant to shame on the three point line.

I need an agent... where's Jerry Maguire? SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!

We Got On Blogs of Note!!!

We can hardly stand ourselves... from all our tales of Nylabone chewing, luscious treats, playing, and after numerous candid shots of us (some of which we are not too thrilled about), Blogger thought us good enough to be mentioned in Blogs of Note!!! VIH, you better be cooking us a savory chicken dinner in celebration! All we want to say is...

VIH, What Are You Doing to Me?

VIH, I love the belly rubs you give me, but sometimes I would rather be doing something else... like snoop in your closet and play with your shoes!

Daisy Does Del Taco

Don't mind me, VIH... I am just getting a sniff or two of your wonderful drink!
(Maybe you'll just GIVE me a sip?)

We Can't Believe It...

Can you believe all three of us are in there?

Chihuahua Soap... Sweet!

Why can't our VIH give us our baths with this soap instead?

More Beautiful Chihuahua Artwork...

We aren't really sure why there is a stuffed bear sitting on this Chi's face... but it is still a brilliant piece of artwork nonetheless.

A Kiss For Miss Bella

Here's A Little Test for Our Regular Blog Readers...

Can you tell who is who in this picture?

Ready for a Nap...

VIH, I am soooo sleepy. I think I am ready for a nap.

I look so cute and peaceful when I am sleeping, don't I?

Attack of the Chi Tongue

Oh, my God! It's going to take over my face!

Bella Getting Into Trouble

One of the things I love about the fall and winter seasons is the plethora of dried leaves that manage to find their way onto the outside balcony. They make a wonderful crinkle and crunch sound that I cannot get enough of. Usually I try to bring them inside and chew them in the comfort of my doggie bed, but my VIH tells me "No!" and takes it away from me. Why, I am not sure. Well, there were a few times I went overboard on the leaves and spread them all over the house when my VIH was at work, but that's not just my fault... Daisy and Diego were in on it too! So why should I be the one punished, why can't I have all the fun?

Ooooooooh, a nice dried leaf! I will chew on you now!

VIH, I am not doing anything naughty! I am not about to chomp down on that leaf you see in front of me. Oh, not me, I am a good doggie girl!

The AKC National Dog Championships

A few weeks ago we went to check out the AKC National Championships at the Long Beach Convention Center. You could feel the excitement from all the dogs in the air... what a thrill! We'd like to say the best dog won, but come on... we all know the prizes, ribbons, and titles should go to the Chihuahuas.

Oh yeah... THE BIG SHOW!

A picture of the main floor.

Go, Chihuahua!!! Strut your stuff out there!!! Woof, woof, woof!!!

What!?! You mean to tell us that a $30,000 prize went to a Golden Retriever? As if!
